New Services Coming to CCDA Members!

CCDA is proud to announce that beginning in June 2004 we will be offering two new programs to members.

Best Practices Website:
Access tips on career counseling techniques, training exercises and useful career websites from career counselors around the state! This website will be accessible to CCDA members coming in 2004! This will be an invaluable resource to use with you career clients!

Vendor Discounts and CCDA Bucks:
Discounts on much used career products such as EUREKA – individual subscriptions and more. Also earn CCDA Bucks good for discounts on CCDA events.

The National Career Development Association has awarded CCDA two grants to work on the development of these two new projects. Claire Sham-Choy (CCDA Board Member) and her graduate students at Cal State Fresno will be spearheading the Best Practices Website and Rochelle McCready (CCDA Board Member) will be managing the development of the vendor discount program. Be on the lookout for these exciting new offerings available only to CCDA members!

New Short Video On The CCDA Website
Check out our newest addition to the CCDA website – a short two-minute video offering shots of the CCDA membership meeting, board meeting and International Career Development Conference. Now read and see what’s going on with CCDA. Video and Film Director, Doug Cwiak of Dogfight Film Productions shot and edited the film for CCDA’s use. Thank you Doug for your great work!

Acronym Overload
Ever wonder the relationship between CACD, NCDA, ACA and CCDA? Confused about what these acronyms mean? We are here to take the confusion out of this alphabet soup. Thanks to Greg Jackson, Past-President of CCDA, a matrix describing the relationship between these organizations has been developed and placed on the CCDA website. Check it out!!!
