CCDA Vision Statement
Rochelle McCready, CCDA President-Elect 2005-2006

I look forward to serving as your 2005-2006 president-elect and beginning my formal leadership role on the CCDA Board. As president-elect I am honored to work with professionals in our field who are committed to the growth and progress of career development. Over the past years I have had the pleasure to know and work with several past presidents of our organization who have created a phenomenal historical legacy for us, and I hope to add to that legacy. I believe in the value of CCDA as a professional organization and will continue to work to bring value-added benefits to our members.

I will continue to support our CCDA mission by serving as an effective voice for career development in California, and working with other career professionals to help make licensure a reality. My passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to career issues across the lifespan are steadfast and I promise to provide leadership and a collaborative atmosphere that honors all of our unique gifts and talents. My pledge to you is to continue to have an eye toward the future by working with the board and committees to:

  • INVEST in our members by giving them more value for their membership dollars
  • INCLUSION by offering more opportunities to participate in leadership roles
  • INNOVATION by offering more local activities and events for our members
  • INSPIRATION to become more involved in CCDA
  • INCREASE public awareness of the services we offer as professionals

I hope you will join me in looking toward the future of CCDA with these "I"s. Remember, CCDA also means:

  • Commitment
  • Collaboration
  • Dedication
  • Assistance

I look forward to working with all of you as I honor my Commitment to career development, Collaboration with the board and committees to work with members, Dedication to moving our profession to the next level with state licensure, and Assisting the public in their knowledge of career development.

All the best,
Rochelle McCready
