CCDA collaborates with Human Resources professionals

April 5 was a successful career management workshop for Sacramento local HR professionals. This was the first time SAHRA (Sacramento Area Human Resources Association) provided career services for HR professionals who have been laid off or are in career transition. There were 47 participants. CCDA Board member Maureen White coordinated the partnership with SAHRA since she is also on the SAHRA Board supporting Members In Transition. Overall, the evaluations indicated very positive responses for the keynote on networking, and especially for the support of the Sacramento CCDA career professionals who consulted with HR professionals on resume review and career development. CCDA was represented by:

  • Kathy Engelstad, CCDA President, Program Manager, Chapman University
  • Sigrid Menard, Career Counselor, private practice
  • Christina Rogers, M.S., CSUS Career Counselor, Co-Chair, Sacramento CCDA Chapter
  • Maureen White, M.A., Ed.D., SPHR; CCDA and SAHRA Boards
  • Georganna O’Keefe-Schwering
  • Christopher Guilford, CSUS grad student, Career Counseling
  • Lisa Carrillo, Chapman University grad student, Career Counseling
  • Sara Pieschl, Career Counselor, CCDA Sacramento
  • Brenda Vargas, grad student, Chapman University, Career Counseling. Brenda was also the Exhibitor Chair, ICDC 2007
  • Julie McGilvray, Chapman University Career Counseling grad student. Also works at Wilcox, Miller Nelson
