Each year, the ICDC/CCC Committee Program Chairs distribute a Request for Proposals for workshop presenters. Keep checking www.careerccc.com for next year's online Request for Proposals. Proposal deadlines are in February of each year. RFPs are usually mailed in Nov-Dec. Below is a past ICDC/CCC Request for Proposal outline.

A WORKSHOP CONCURRENT WITH THE ICDC/CCC NOVEMBER, 2001, CONFERENCE THAT DESCRIBES AND ILLUSTRATES CREATIVE CAREER DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES

"Staying Innovative and Changed-Focused in the New Economy" The International Career Development Conference is seeking proposals for 75-minute content workshops that describe and illustrate creative career development practices. These workshops will be scheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 9 & 10, 2001. Presenters are encouraged to deliver their content in new and appealing ways.

2. Email the conference Program Chair.   Include "Your Name" in the Subject line.  Copy and paste the proposal information form data into the text of the e-mail.  No attachments will be opened or accepted.

3. Computer Disk:  MS Word for MAC or PC mailed to the Program Chair.

4. Hard Copy:  Mail to the ICDC Program Chair

5. Fax the Program Chair.

Workshop Proposal Directions

Expenses
As a non-profit professional activity, the International Career Development Conference does not provide honoraria for workshop presenters who are expected to cover their own transportation, hotel, and handout reproduction. ALL PRESENTERS MUST REGISTER for the conference. They may do so at the reduced student rate.

Promotion
Presenters (except Vendor programs ) must refrain from using workshop sessions to advertise or promote any product or service in which they have a monetary interest. Sale of materials is restricted to the exhibit area.

Affirmative Action
The sponsoring organizations encourage presentations by women, minorities, and disabled persons. We welcome program content focused on women, minorities, veterans, and issues addressing disadvantaged people.

Selection Criteria
Each proposal will be given careful review for:
(a) Relationship to the conference theme, "Staying Innovative and Change-Focused in the new Economy;"
(b) Timeliness and freshness of the topic;
(c) Relevance of the topic to the career development field;
(d) Speaking ability of the presenter;  (e) Creativity of approach;
(f) Experience of the presenter; (g) Learning outcomes; and (h) References.

Equipment
The conference provides the following equipment at no charge:
Easel with pens, flipchart, screen, and overhead projectors. Any additional equipment will be at the presenter's expense.

Publication
If your proposal is accepted, we will invite you to submit a 2,000 word program narrative to be published prior to the conference in a "Conference Proceedings" book.   The description will also be made available online as part of the International Career Development Library, a special interactive website and database developed by ERIC/CASS, one of the original educational clearinghouses.  Selectively, papers would also be considered for inclusion in the ERIC database.
